As part of OSRC’s new roster of initiatives, the OSRC intends to fulfill the IT industry's growing demand by launching a free-of-cost Asterisk (Open Source PBX) Training Program. The target audience includes the call center industry’s IT personnel, network and system administrators, IT managers, Telco engineers, VoIP service providers, VoIP traders, CT developers, IT consultants who want to serve the voice/data convergence market, and students interested in VoIP projects. A pre-requisite for participants is a basic understanding of Linux/UNIX and its commands.  

This in-depth training program will cover the full spectrum of Asterisk's implementation and operations. At the time of course completion, successful trainees will be able to:

The OSRC will initially conduct its training program in the following cities:

  • Faisalabad
  • Islamabad/Rawalpindi
  • Karachi
