The programmer can then define global handlers that route or filter messages based on the priority and source. hslogger also has a syslog handler built in. Changes: Added compatibility with GHC 6.10 and support for the XML Java logger.
About: SHOGUN is a machine learning toolbox whose focus is on large scale kernel methods and especially on Support Vector Machines (SVM). It provides a generic SVM object interfacing to several different SVM implementations, all making use of the same underlying, efficient kernel implementations. Apart from SVMs and regression, SHOGUN also features a number of linear methods like Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA), Linear Programming Machine (LPM), (Kernel) Perceptrons, and algorithms to train hidden Markov models. SHOGUN can be used from within C++, Matlab, R, Octave, and Python. Changes: This release contains several cleanups and bugfixes. It implements a general kernel normalizer that can be attached to kernels via set_normalizer() in the modular and set_kernel_normalization in the static interfaces. This fixes a long standing bug in the WeightedDegreePositionStringKernel normalization, but also breaks compatibility for a few kernels. This release integrates the Oligo string-kernel, and adds distances BrayCurtis, ChiSquare, Cosine, and Tanimoto. It supports Intel MKL on 32-bit architectures. About: Open HPI is an open source project created to provide an open implementation of the SA Forum's Hardware Platform Interface (HPI). It provides a universal interface for Platform Management, including hardware sensor monitoring and control. Changes: This new release enables redundant domains with multiple daemon connections. The new design converts a daemon into a single domain. Additionally, each client will be able to connect to multiple daemons. So the client, in order to connect to multiple domains, will have to know about them through a client configuration file. It will then connect to the specified domain through a connection to the daemon corresponding to that domain.
About: Subversion is a version control system. Changes: This release contains some miscellaneous bugfixes, including fixes to the "cobbler replicate" feature, which is used to synchronize or clone multiple install servers. Koan is also updated at this time.
About: TRIXER creates catalogs of transparent file indexes. A transparent file index is an exact mirror of a directory, except that each of its file is void, thus "taking no space", while apparently having the same size of its indexed counterpart so as to describe it fully. This is accomplished by combining sparse files support with fusecompress on-the-fly compression technology. This is useful for many purposes, e.g. creating a catalog of your CD/DVD-ROM library to browse its contents without having to physically access it. The advantage of this software is that a TRIXER catalog is a plain mountable ext2 filesystem, allowing huge interoperability.
About: DSS creates hardlink-based snapshots of a given directory on a remote or local host using rsync's link-dest feature.

It can work on block devices as well as files. fio accepts job descriptions in a simple-to-understand text format. Several example job files are included. fio displays all sorts of I/O performance information. It supports Linux, FreeBSD, and OpenSolaris. Changes: This release adds support for hardware accelerated CRC-32 calculation for verification (on supported Intel platforms w/SSE4.2). It adds option priorities to get rid of manual option ordering. It increases the range of the smalloc allocator, and fixes a few bugs with it as well.
